News Bulletin

On Friday Nov. 16, Hamilton Police arrested Ben Leonetti (69) on charges of Criminal Harassment.

Mr. Leonetti is the former domestic partner of Andrea Horwath (56), MPP for Hamilton Centre, and leader of the Ontario NDP.

Hamilton Police seized Mr. Leonetti’s cell phone and detained him for several hours. Police would only tell him that Ms. Horwath alleges he followed her and her entourage down an alley and videotaped her as they headed to her car on Sunday Nov 11 following Remembrance Day celebrations at Gore Park. Mr. Leonetti strongly denies the allegations.

Mr. Leonetti was later released on a promise to appear on Dec 7 at 9am, Room 204 at John Sopinka Courthouse at 45 Main St E, Hamilton.
